I learned so much from Bill Flocco in the Foot Hand & Ear Reflexology program I took from him I thought I would pass along this link to a wonderful Reflexology book he authored Bill Flocco’s “Idiot’s Guide to Reflexology”

Foot, Hand and Ear Reflexology is a great option if you would like to experience deep relaxation in order to allow your body to re-set itself to homeostasis.

There are ancient wall drawings in various cultures showing people rubbing or manipulating each others hands and feet.  Is it Reflexology they were doing?  Could be.  What I do know absolutely is that a 60 or 90 minute Foot, Hand and Ear Reflexology is completely wonderful to experience and feel.

English: Description: It is a wall painting found in the tomb of the highest official after the Pharaoh – Ankhmahor. The tomb is also known as the physicians tomb. Therefore it suggests that what the people in the painting is doing must be somewhat related to health, therefore it is suspected that they are practising the early version of reflexology. This wall painting is dated back to 2330 B.C. Source: Copy from Here (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

The recorded history of Reflexology actually is attributed to Dr. William Fitzgerald.  He is an American Medical Doctor who early in the 20th century began documenting the effects of applying pressure on the hands and feet of his patients and how this could help relieve pain symptoms in other parts of their bodies

Eunice Ingham, a physiotherapist, went on to map out these pressure points or reflex zones, matching up areas of the body with specific points on the feet and hands. Later, people discovered that these points also relate to certain emotional and psychological states.

Reflexology is wonderful and can be easily integrated into a regular massage session or as a session all it’s own.  For me nothing beats a 90 minute foot and hand reflexology session!

The “neck” of the toes (which is often tender when your neck is out of sorts) is the reflex for your neck!
