“The most important thing in changing human behavior is the person’s motivation.”-Milton H. Erickson
A little google search will let you know that the U.S. weight loss market is now worth a record $72 billion. If you search further you will also find a plethora of weight loss statistics, theories and page upon page of diets and diet aids.
Rather than overwhelm you with a bunch of statistics and other weight loss jargon I’m going to simplify how Hypnotherapy can help you with your weight loss.
First. Do you want to lose weight? Do you really want to change some things in your lifestyle to lose some weight?
Do you really? Really? Do you really?
I’m not trying to be cheeky or anything but it is very important for you to decide if you want to or not. If you are trying to lose weight just because someone else is telling you to lose weight it may be a little bit of a challenge.
Hypnosis is a very good tool to use as an addition to some lifestyle modifications you may need to make in order to lose the pounds you are looking to shed. Hypnotherapy will help you help yourself with weight loss.
I’ve had a couple conversations with a few people who told me they tried hypnotherapy for weight loss and “it didn’t work”. When I explained to them that they still needed to have some sort of plan for lifestyle modifications they both replied, “Oh, so it’s not a magic wand kind of thing and you instantly lose weight after one session?” Correct, although I do wish that were the case.
BUT do not despair.
Hypnotherapy for weight loss can help you to stay on-track without all the usual resistance that you may have encountered with yourself in the past. It may make it a little easier (and who doesn’t want some easy in their life?) to reach your ideal weight goal and stay there.
